Nature Preserve

I finally took my kids to the nature preserve, right here in good old Hudsonville. I am not sure why we haven't gone before. I'm not going to say they loved it, because at one time or another they both whined about being tired and wanting to go back to the van, but they both said they'd like to go back sometime.

Here they are walking on the path and then running on the boardwalk. That was their favorite part.
I remembered to take my camera and thought I'd better use it. I did get a few cute pics of the kids.

But as you can tell, they quickly got sick and tired of mommy and her picture taking.

Here is a little video I took of them. They are getting so goofy. Tyson has started saying "Amen" when he finishes saying whatever he needs to say.

Finally, we made a birthday countdown chain today. Only 36 days til Jori's 3rd birthday and a mere 34 until Tyson turns 5! I can hardly believe it, but it's true.

Mother's Day Program

Tyson's preschool had a special mommy and me day last Friday to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a very special morning. We made a few crafts, read some stories and planted a flower. The kids worked very hard to learn some special songs to sing for all of the moms too.
Here are a couple videos of the songs the kids sang. Tyson IS one of a kind!

Bible Memory Time

Tyson and Jori have been learning some Bible verses that we wanted to share with you. Jori is first. In case you can't understand her, check out Genesis 1:1 and Matthew 1:21.

Now it's Tyson's turn. The first verse he says is Luke 2:11. He then goes on with a slightly different version of the same verse.

Check us out on YouTube

Darin has been busy putting some of our video clips on YouTube. To check them out, go to

http://youtube.com/

then type "Tyson and Jori" (without the quotes) in the search box and you can see some of the neat things we encountered in South Africa. Oddly enough, when you type in "Tyson and Jori" you will not only pull up videos from our family, but one clip from Finland also pops up. It's not ours and I don't know what it is about, but it's there.

Sorry, there is no clip of my ostrich riding adventure as that was taken on our camcorder and we don't know how to upload that onto YouTube. Bummer.
